Inspired by ingredients which remind her of home, Pastry Chef Clemence Gossett founded Gourmandise Desserts; a small dessert company dedicated to infusing American desserts with traditional French influences, accents, craftsmanship.

Clemence started her training at age nine, working in her family's restaurant in Provence. After peeling carrots and potatoes all day, she experimented with local ingredients (lavender-infused honey, valrhona chocolate and local almonds…), and was allowed to offer patrons anything which 'made the cut'. Twenty years, a new country, a film degree and two children later, Gourmandise Desserts was born!

Clemence's passion for simple, fresh sweets crafted from the finest ingredients has made Gourmandise a favorite dessert destination for Los Angelenos. Clemence credits her husband Satie and kids Malcolm and Olivia for deciding which desserts 'make the cut'.
